Southeastern Conference on Historic Sites Archaeology 
September 30 - October 2, 2016

 

 

In honor of Knoxville, Tennessee's 225th anniversary, the theme for the SECHSA 2016 will be the urban south. Paper and poster presentations are requested for one or more of the following topics on this subject:

 

• foodways

• trade

• industrialization

• modernity

• cultural identity

• social stratification (e.g., ethnicity, gender, race, class)

• public archaeology

• cemeteries

• historic preservation

 

Titles and abstracts are due by September 1, 2016 and should be sent via email attachment to the conference organizers. Abstracts should be no more than 150 words.
